The Calvet LV 4C calorimeter operates exclusively in isothermal mode, with very large sample volumes. It is unique in that it accepts four large cells, enabling two measurements to be carried out simultaneously. Their volume can be up to 100 mL, or the equivalent of two D-type batteries.
Its 3D sensor, based on a network of thermocouples, features an excellent detection limit coupled with high accuracy in measuring heat and heat flow. The Calvet LV is particularly well suited to demanding experiments. Its interchangeable cells can be used for high-pressure or vacuum tests. It can measure heat under conditions ranging from ambient to 200°C. This calorimeter is ideal for applications such as characterizing batteries, building materials or studying the metabolism of small animals.
The basic package includes :
- A calorimeter block with a temperature range from ambient to 200°C.
- A Calvet-type calorimetric sensor with 0.08 µW resolution, four calorimetric wells to accommodate four 35mm-diameter cells.
- Four standard 93 ml stainless steel cells for measurements at normal pressure (S601224).
- CS Evolution controller with 32-bit microprocessor, 24-bit A/D converter and Ethernet connection.
- CALISTO Windows software to control the instrument and manage data acquisition and processing.
- User manual supplied on USB key.
Depending on your application, the CALISTO can be extended with appropriate measuring cells.
