The TAC 500 AS is a calorimeter designed to measure temperature and pressure variations in a sample without heat transfer, thus reproducing adiabatic conditions, i.e. without heat loss. In this way, it can be used to monitor the decomposition of a sample by gradually increasing its temperature. The device is compact and practical, saving bench space and reducing maintenance requirements. It's also economical, with affordable spare parts. Ideal for industrial applications, it helps assess the risks associated with exothermic reactions and reactor pressure build-up.
The basic package includes : - A furnace enabling temperature measurements in a range from ambient temperature to 500°C. It is highly accurate, with a detection threshold of between 0.005 and 0.02°C/min, and an adiabatic tracking speed of up to 40°C/min. - Operating modes include “Heat-Wait-Search”, isothermal and temperature scanning. - A measuring chamber offering a pressure operating range from 0 to 200 bar, and a suitable sensor. It is connected to a sample cell or “bomb” with an internal volume of 8 ml. - The system is supplied with 10 bombs in 316 L stainless steel and 10 in titanium alloy, and a set of thermocouples, disposable syringes and connection accessories. - Acquisition and processing software.
Our instruments come with a comprehensive range of user services and support. These include a range of maintenance contracts to ensure accuracy and to extend instrument life. We offer training on how to use the solutions and interpret their measurements.
