The RSC 400 AS is designed to measure temperature and decomposition pressures. It comprises two pressure-resistant cells, pressure transducers and an oven for constant-speed heating or isothermal holding. The cells can handle samples ranging from a few milligrams to several grams or milliliters. The system can be used for simultaneous measurements, for a faster test rate, or to test a sample against an inert solvent, for greater precision. The RSC 400 AS is an economical tool, ideal for analyzing thermal stability and the risks associated with chemical processes, or the storage of energetic materials (rocket or ammunition propellants, explosives).
The basic package includes : - A furnace offering a temperature range from ambient to 400°C, with heating rates from 0.5 to 10°C/min. It allows several operating modes: isothermal, temperature scanning at one heating rate or two different rates. - A measuring chamber with a pressure operating range from 0 to 200 bar, and suitable sensors. These are connected to sample-holding cells or “bombs” with an internal volume of 8 ml. This chamber enables simultaneous analysis of two samples. - Supplied are: 6 bombs in 316 L stainless steel, 6 bombs in titanium alloy, 2 thermocouples, 5 disposable syringes of 1 ml, 5 disposable syringes of 5 ml, sets of 1/4“, 1/8” and 1/16” ferrules with nuts. - Acquisition and processing software.
Our instruments come with a comprehensive range of user services and support. These include a range of maintenance contracts to ensure accuracy and to extend instrument life. We offer training on how to use the solutions and interpret their measurements.
